SOMEWHERE BETWEEN FLYING AND FALING

Site specific instalation made for the Oerol festival, Terschelling. A multi media instalation and visual research.
The bunkers at Formerum, a man working on a mission that is not feasible. Or is it? A visual installation that does not give away all its secrets at once. The floor plan of one's thoughts and dreams. And an inquiry: what happens when you jump?
Somewhere between flying and falling (prologue) is both a visual search for a performance / installation about wind and desire and a historic mission. This work-in-progress is inspired by Otto Lilienthal, the first man who flew, and his brother. Valerie Leersum cooperates with composer and musician Gerco Aerts and writer Suzanna Jansen (oa 'Het pauper paradijs').
At this moment Gerco and Valerie are working on a follow up to this project.
